Chelsy Holland

Co-founder, Director of True Beauty Academy

Chelsy started her career by completing an apprenticeship in Hairdressing, realising it wasn’t for her, she decided to go into Beauty. Chelsy represented Wakefield College at the Worldskills UK and won the regionals for Yorkshire. Once she qualified Chelsy went straight to work for Steiner onboard the cruise ships for four sea contracts. When she arrived home she worked for a Clarins & Decleor Gold Award salon whilst completing her Certificate in Education at Huddersfield University. Chelsy has worked for our sister college Intuitions, Wakefield College and Wakefield council teaching Level 2 & Level 3 Beauty students before founding True Beauty Academy, with True Beauty Salon founder Elizabeth Speight. She was the FIVE time winner at the World Lash University conference in 2019 winning Best Lash Educator and Best Lash Academy, and has been a published author in Pro Beauty Loft Magazine. She is the founder and owner of Curl & Contour salon and ChelsyLash. Chelsy hopes to inspire the next generation of Beauty Therapists and Hairdressers, as well as helping those in need of a career change.



Elisha O’Neil

Hairdressing Educator, Reviewer, Recruitment

Ellie grew up in the hairdressing industry with her mum Sue being a Hairdresser and Academy owner herself. Before the age of 18 Elisha had completed her Level 2 & 3 in Hairdressing, and three A Levels. She was a member of Schwarzkopfs Young Artistic Team and Creative Team member, competing in competitions, photoshoots for magazines and fashion houses. From the age of 21, Elisha ran her own successful salon business, completing her Schwarzkopf Master course at their London Academy. Today Elisha’s passion is teaching and passing on her knowledge to other budding hairdressers, she is our in salon reviewer and recruitment officer. 



Amy Walker

Beauty Educator

Amy has been in the Hair and Beauty Industry for over 10 years. She started her career in Hairdressing but soon discovered it wasn't for her and went into the beauty Industry.

Amy has managed beauty salons in the past and have worked for companies such as Izabelle Hammon. In 2013 she decided it was time for a change and  wanted to teach the subject she was so passionate about. Amy has worked for private training providers and Manygates centre in Wakefield. She is currently obtaining her IQA qualification. 


Melissa Wright

Nails & Beauty Educator

Melissa trained as a Beauty Therapist via an apprenticeship and upon qualifying she worked in salon carrying out various treatments and working her way up to Senior Therapist at Mint Nails & Beauty. After gaining experience and knowledge through working with Nail Harmony and CND, Melissa decided she wanted to pass on everything she had learned. In 2014 she completed her PTLS, before completing her Certificate in Education and TAQA. 



Sarah Jowett

Hair & Media Makeup Educator 

Sarah is qualified in Level 1 & Level 2 Hairdressing, Bridal Hair, Barbering and Level 3 Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair & Media Makeup. Sarah was chosen to showcase her final college assessment at The Sunday Times Festival of Education which Creative Talent Magazine then published. Sarah went on to work on a Lady Gaga inspired photoshoot again published by Creative Talent magazine. Sarah’s passion is for makeup and she is constantly doing some form of CPD to enable her to pass on new trends to her students. Check out our Instagram page to see Sarah’s class work.
